The Kultúrsokk podcast now can be listened in English
2022. July. 12.
Our website in English has been launched, and its first podcasts in foreign languages are also avaliable now, in which Anna Mária Bólya, our research associate talks with internationally known ballet artist Emese Bíró, and Rodrigo Ballester, who is the head of the Mathias Corvinus Collegium European Studies Workshop.
The website of the Hungarian Academy of Arts Research Institute of Art Theory and Methodology was renewed last autumn, as a result of which the interested parties have easier and more transparent access to our contents, and in parallel, the MMKI CultureShock Podcast, the institute’s regularly appearing “radio show”, in which the researchers present diverse musical, literary and architectural, film, theater and dance, as well as creative theory topics await the students.
As part of the renewal process, the contents of the website are available in English from 2022, thereby making the results of the latest scientific research related to the research institute even more familiar to the international professional public. Born as a mirror translation of the Hungarian Kultúrsokk, CultureShock’s first English-language broadcast on May 20 called Pointe Shoes will reveal what the parts of the pointe shoe are and what extreme events were associated with them in the 19th century, with Anna Mária Bólya and ballerina Emese Bíró. The discussion is also available in Hungarian on the website of the research institute.
In the second English-language part of the podcast, the guest of our scientific colleague Anna Mária Bólya is Rodrigo Ballester, the head of the Mathias Corvinus Collegium European Studies Workshop, who introduces himself as a music lover, also an opera and Mozart fan. Mathias Corvinus Collegium offers high-quality education for all ages. As the leading talent management institution in the Carpathian Basin, it offers up-to-date knowledge within the framework of a multidisciplinary program that helps navigate in the world. We can get to know the school personally at the MCC Fest, which is also discussed during the conversation.
The broadcasts can be listened to on the MMA MMKI website, as well as on Google Podcasts, Spotify and Apple Podcasts.
