Prof. Dr. Győző Vörös is an ancient research architect (Eötvös Loránd University and BME Alumni), research professor (Papal Biblical University, Jerusalem), research group leader-academician, the project director of the Dead Sea Coast of the Royal Jordanian Bureau of Monuments and Archeology, research fellow of the Mississippi Honorary University (Honorary Research Fellow), set designer at the Hungarian State Opera House, series editor at Edizioni Terra Santa in Milan, etc. He is also the author of excavations (Thebes: 1994–1998, Alexandria: 1998–2004), Cyprus (Paphos: 2004–2009) and Jordan (Machaerus: 2009−), author of eight English academic monographs on ancient sciences. He is married and father of two children, supported creator of the Corvin chain of Imre Makovecz (2002−2005), and awarded with the Knight’s Cross of the Hungarian Order of Merit (2016).
